This new generation allowed us to do exactly that. In an interview, director Stig Asmussen said:īottom line, we learned quickly that we could take advantage of the faster processors, larger/faster memory, better loading times, etc, to create much larger maps, with more detail, greater density, broader enemy/NPC variety, and overall fidelity we wanted to evolve/enhance the experience.
The main reason was simply down to Microsoft’s legacy hardware not being robust enough to handle their ambitions for the sequel. This is all particularly surprising as EA and Respawn Entertainment had originally seemed to decide that a Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Xbox One was out of the question, originally releasing only on the latest generation of hardware.
